Ranch House Renovation Updates |
|
|
Mailroom:
As previously discussed, our mailroom will be renovated this winter. To accommodate this work, a temporary mailroom has been set up. All existing mailboxes have been relocated to a temporary trailer in the Ranch House parking lot. Your current box number and key have remained the same, simply collect your mail at the new temporary location. Please note: the relocation of package lockers has been delayed due to logistical challenges. For now, they remain in the old mailroom. We are actively coordinating with the Post Office to transition these lockers and expect to complete the move in the near future.
Project Delays:
As discussed at the October board meeting, our building permit took longer than anticipated. While we did complete design stages and apply for the permit in accordance with our original timelines, permits through the Town of Carbondale have been experiencing delays. Because of this, we anticipate delays in opening this spring. We recommend that you refer to that latest renovation report for details.
Roof Work & Lap Lanes:
Please be aware that the lap lanes and hot tubs are expected to be temporarily closed in mid-November due to roofing work. This closure is necessary to maintain a safe environment for all guests. The exact timing and duration are still being finalized, and we will share updates as soon as more information is available. Our goal remains to keep these areas open as much as possible during the project.

The board entertained the 2026 proposed budget in its October meeting. Given a lack of critical feedback coming from the community, the board did not recommend any changes to the last proposed draft budget.
During the November board meeting, the 2025 Budget will be officially voted on. If approved, the community will then cast their votes beginning Friday, Dec. 5. We greatly appreciate everyone’s participation in the process.
For a detailed breakdown of the proposed budgets, please refer to the linked supplementary documents.

Tom's Door Holiday Giving Program |
Tom's Door in partnership with RVR is celebrating our 10th annual holiday gift drive for Carbondale Seniors. Over the last nine years, we have experienced a generous outpouring of contributions. We are working with Aspen Glen this year to provide gift cards to all the 78 residents of Carbondale Senior Housing who otherwise might not have a Christmas. These residents are 62 years of age or older, live in Crystal Meadows housing on social security and have an income level of less than $37,000 a year. You can give them some hope and cheer and share the magic of the holiday season.
If you wish to get involved, visit the RVR Ranch House beginning Saturday, Nov. 1 and choose a key from the wreath on the festive red Tom's Christmas Door. There are several gift card options including City Market, Target and Walmart. Our suggested donation is $50. We ask that you return the gift cards into the door's mail slot no later than Sunday, Dec. 7. Please feel free to include a personal note if you wish to share a holiday message.
Additional information about Tom's Door is available next to the red door if you are not familiar with this wonderful organization and the outreach and positive impact it has in our community.
If you have any questions, please contact Sidney Poncelet at 970-309-2393 or sidponcelet@gmail.com.
We thank you in advance for your generosity.

RVR Fall Leaf Dumpster - Still Here! |
The Ranch House fall leaf dumpster is still available for community use. Thank you for sharing the yard waste dumpster do's and don’ts with your contractors. Last year the dumpster was out well into November. We hope to "leaf" it out as long as possible again this year. We will keep the community informed of any removal dates before they happen.

Reminder: Keep Pets Leashed | Coyote Sighting in RVR |
|
|
We’ve had another coyote sighting in the neighborhood, this one around 5:35 p.m. near Perry Ridge and Crystal Bridge Drive.
As these beautiful animals become more accustomed to our neighborhood sights and sounds, please keep pets leashed and be mindful during evening walks. A little extra awareness helps keep both wildlife and our furry friends safe!
