Congress’ recent Continuing Resolution retroactively reinstated several Medicare telehealth flexibilities through January 30, 2026. During the brief lapse in these provisions, CMS directed Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) to return telehealth claims with dates of service on or after October 1, 2025.
With those flexibilities now restored, telehealth services provided on or after October 1 are once again eligible for Medicare reimbursement.
Physicians may now:
-
Resubmit any telehealth claims that were returned, and
-
Submit any claims that were held while awaiting updated CMS guidance.
