Updated Compliance Forms, HOTMA FAQ and Electronic Signature Policy Announcement |
The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) Compliance team has implemented several important updates, including revisions to required forms, the addition of a HOTMA FAQ featuring an update of IFA's implementation timeline and the release of a new electronic signature policy.

Several required compliance forms have been revised and can be found in the Required Forms section, noted as "revised May 2025". The Asset Worksheet (formerly the Asset Self Certification Worksheet) has been updated and can now be found in Other Forms section, also noted as "revised May 2025".

A new HOTMA Frequently Asked Questions section is now available on the Compliance web page. The FAQ section includes important information about IFA's implementation timeline addressed in Question #1.

Electronic Signature Policy: |
IFA will accept and permit the use of electronic signatures on applicant/ tenant documents provided that the electronic signature software has the capability to audit or authenticate the signature. Both applicant/ tenant and management can use electronic signatures.
Examples of electronic signature software: DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat.
