Through our CATCH Promise initiative, we're offering to help these 90 "priority" school districts (and others with a similar need) overcome funding or logistical obstacles to bring the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model to their schools! Last year, we helped bring over $430,000 in community health grants to CATCH Promise districts across the country – and we're just getting started!

Ysleta ISD Celebrating their Success with CATCH
In our last newsletter, we highlighted some impressive results from Yselta ISD, including students getting almost twice as much moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) during their P.E. classes. Since then, their success have been shared with this video from Ysleta ISD and this newsletter from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation. Thanks to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Paso del Norte, and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for helping fulfill the CATCH Promise in Ysleta!

Spring is here! Have you made a plan to teach sun safety?
A little foresight and planning can help you work valuable health topics into your teaching plans and daily routines. As we approach the time of year when kids start to spend more time outside, one topic you may want to consider is sun safety.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center created and developed Ray and the Sunbeatables®: A Sun Safety Curriculum to make sun safety a fun and engaging experience for children. Activities and lessons can be easily integrated with instruction plans across age groups and core subjects. Click below to learn more from our latest blog post:
