From the Ranch House

Ranch House Closure Update
It now appears the Ranch House may be closed until at least April 30. That’s the current closure date ordered by Colorado Governor Jared Polis, for facilities like the Ranch House.

We are closely following rapidly changing guidance from the Town of Carbondale, the Garfield County Public Health Department, the State of Colorado, and the national Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and will eventually make our decision to reopen based on when they tell us it’s safe.

Our top priority remains the safety and well-being of both staff and the RVR community.

Please stay safe through these challenging times, and maintain proper social distancing.

The Rainbow Project

BBC news online recently published an article about hundreds of schools in the UK encouraging students to put up rainbow paintings to "spread hope" after schools across the UK  shut down due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This fun project has now taken off all over the world. Stateside, dozens of rainbows can be found in New York City and Philadelphia.

We invite you to create your own handmade rainbow artwork to display on a window of your home to spread hope and cheer during the dark days of the Coronavirus pandemic. Wouldn't it be nice to see cheerful, rainbow decorated windows throughout RVR to show that we are all in this together?

Trash Update

Mountain Waste has completed most of the recycle bin exchanges. You should have received a bin with a blue lid and wheels. This is your new recycle bin and you can take it in.  If they have not exchanged your recycle bin yet, please leave it at the curb until Friday evening. If they have not swapped it out by Friday evening, please bring it inside until collection day on Tuesday.

Mountain Waste has not completed most trash can exchanges. They will continue to swap out trash cans through Friday but will not get to everyone by end of day. They are asking everyone to bring in your cans on Friday evening and keep them inside until collection day on Tuesday. Upon regular trash collection on Tuesday, Mar. 31, cans will continued to be exchanged throughout the week. So, again, leave your cans at the curb after trash day next Tuesday until they have been swapped out.

Please click here for more important information.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the trash transition.
We will continue to keep you updated throughout the process.

Reminders & Highlights

Keep Your Dogs Leashed
As many of you may have noticed, the traffic on RVR sidewalks has greatly increased. For those of you bringing your dogs along as you enjoy a walk or jog through RVR, please remember to pick up any messes your dog makes. And, don’t forget— Carbondale’s leash laws apply!  So, please leash your dogs while traveling through the neighborhood.
Dues Decreasing by $24 for Those Paying for Trash
Beginning in April, dues will decrease by $24 for anyone that currently pays RVR for trash service.  The Town of Carbondale will begin billing trash service in April.  If you have an automatic bill-pay from your bank, please edit the amount of your payment. For homeowners who are setup with auto-pay through RVR, no action is necessary. Your automatic payment will be reduced for you.

If you have not been paying RVR $24 for trash service, your dues remain the same.
The new dues amounts can be found on our website here.

If you have questions, please contact James at accounting@rvrcommunity.com.
