We're excited to share that Y Academy preschool at the Southwest YMCA is reopening on August 18, 2025, with a beautifully renovated space and a return to our full early childhood education services.

If you or someone you know is interested in enrolling, please fill out our online interest form.

Whether your child is a first-time player or a future all-star, in our Fall I Youth Sports they'll build skills, boost confidence and learn teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. We've got a variety of great sports offerings for ages 3 – 14.

Our swim lessons are designed to help you or your child build confidence, master skills, and stay safe in the water. New this season, we’re offering:

Pack your apron and join us for an 8-week global adventure at the Arvada, Aurora and University Hills YMCAs! In this fun, hands-on cooking series, children will explore foods and traditions from countries like Mexico, the USA, China, India and more. Each session includes a kid-friendly recipe, basic kitchen skills and fun facts about the featured country's culture and cuisine. ⬇️

When school is out, the Y is in! YMCA Out of School Time (OST) and Full Day Out Care programs provide safe, supportive care for children ages 5–12 during school holidays, planning days and professional development days — as well as before and after school. With enriching activities like games, crafts, physical movement and social-emotional learning, kids build friendships, confidence and lifelong skills in a fun, engaging environment.

Lock in your back-to-school plan with School Break Camps: As you plan for the school year ahead, don't forget about those upcoming days off during fall and winter holidays. Check out Full Day Out care options and School Break Camps to help you solidify your your family schedule.

Families can choose the days they need with care available at 23 YMCA sites across the Denver metro area, including nine locations offering Full Day Out Care. Registration for the 2025–2026 school year is OPEN NOW — secure your spot today!
