Student Advisory Committee Recruitment |
We are excited to announce the formation of the Student Engagement and Belonging/Student Advisory Committee, and we would like to invite you to consider being a part of this important initiative!
The Student Engagement and Belonging/Student Advisory Committee is being established to create a meaningful space where undergraduate student voices, ideas, and concerns are heard, valued, and acted upon. Our goal is to provide an open platform for students to collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration in order to strengthen our community, improve student experiences and engagement, and shape a more supportive environment for all!
The goals and aims of the Student Advisory Committee include:
|
- Listening to and representing the perspectives, voices, and experiences of the College of Education student body.
- Providing feedback on school programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Collaborating with leadership to advocate for positive change.
-
Creating opportunities for leadership, service, and community building.
- Anything else that concerns YOU, the student!
|
As a member of the committee, you will have the opportunity to share your perspectives, work alongside peers and school leaders, and help ensure that student needs and aspirations are at the center of decision-making.
We believe that student input is critical to the growth and success of our school, and we hope you will join us in making a difference!
If you are interested in joining the Student Advisory Committee, please complete the survey linked below by March 6, 2026.
|
If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to contact Dr. Salandra Grice-Johnson at sxg247@shsu.edu or Dr. Jennifer Stover at jlh159@shsu.edu.
We look forward to hearing from you and building a strong, student-centered community together!
In Solidarity,
The Student Engagement and Belonging/Student Advisory Committee
