Summer 2015 Newsletter

Karla's award-winning book, now in its 3rd printing, written during her journey through breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and survival.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

is Coming

Next month is breast cancer awareness month, and Karla will be the keynote speaker at several events to support, honor and encourage those with cancer, including Baylor's Sammons Cancer Center's Annual Breast Cancer Survivorship Celebration in Dallas October 9th and at the 2nd Annual On Butterflies Wings Tea at White Rock Lake in Dallas October 23rd.
Karla is a two-time cancer survivor (breast cancer and, more recently, colon cancer). Through her book Redefining Beauty and her speaking engagements, Karla offers readers and audience members hope, comfort and laughter through her intimate candor, good-humored defiance and unfiltered honesty.
In a front page article titled "Making Pink Lemonade" in the Denton Record-Chronicle last year, Morton told reporter Lucinda Breeding: "Emotionally, it has totally changed me. My tolerance for pettiness is pretty nonexistent. When you go down to hell and have a fistfight with the devil, you learn. What matters is love. Family. It’s about finding joy in every little thing.”
