Tech Tip - Share YouTube videos from specific point

Did you see that?
Sometimes YouTube videos can be long and difficult to search. Use this tip to direct someone's attention to a certain moment in the video! Click the Share button below the video. There is a checkbox below the link that says, "Start at..." You can enter a specific time OR pause the video at a specific point and then click Share. YouTube will auutomatically insert the time into the "Start at..." box. Copy the link to the video or use the Share buttons. When someone views the video, it will automatically skip to the selected time. When they start the video, it will begin at that point.

Support Services launches new podcast
e-LIS Manager of Support Services Dan Arnold and Assistant Manager of Support Services Kate Huttenlocher have teamed up to create a new podcast, Inclusive and Online with Kate and Dan. The monthly podcast features Kate and Dan discussing topics relating to inclusivity, educational technology and online learning. Join them for a lively dicsussion of relevent topics, poignant interviews and for recommendations on tech tools that will help you create the inclusive environments that you seek in your classrooms and beyond.

Excellence in Online Teaching Celebration recording available
If you were unable to join us for the Excellence in Online Teaching Celebration, you can now view the recording of the virtual event. The event featured remarks from Nivedita Mukherji, interim associate provost for Faculty Affairs; keynote presentation from Charlene Hayden, 2021 Online Teaching Excellence Award winner and special instructor in the Department of Chemistry; and a panel of current and former online students. Applications for Affordable Course Materials Stipends
The Affordable Course Materials Initiative Team has launched the third installment of an incentive program for converting courses currently using textbooks and course materials costing more than $40 to OER and low-cost materials. Applications are due April 13. This is funded by OU Student Congress. See the application for more information including a range of stipend options. For more about OER view the library guide.

- Streamline your Moodle Course Design, Thursday, June 9, 10-11 a.m.
- Benefits and strategies for a properly setup Moodle Gradebook, Thursday, June 9, 3-4 p.m.
- Accessibility strategies in Moodle, Tuesday, June 14, 10-11 a.m.
- Make your course more Interactive using H5P, Tuesday, June 14, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
