Amanda Morris (BS ’18, Media, Culture, and Communication), is a reporter for The Washington Post and considered a trailblazer on the national disability beat, where she’s dedicated her career to telling nuanced, essential stories of disabled and chronically ill communities and the myriad ways they live their lives.

Activist, rapper, and actor Eve is Steinhardt’s 2024–2025 Scholar-in Residence. Her residency will focus on the impact of women in hip-hop and the evolving music industry. Joe Henry and Ella Bric are Steinhardt’s 2024–2025 Artists-in-Residence.

Steinhardt alumni took home 15 nominations and two wins at the 2024 Emmy Awards.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that Assistant Professor of Education Mike Hoa Nguyen will be a member of their inaugural Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Serving Institutions Advisory Council.
