NAM Member M. Kevin Smith, MD is running for TMA President-Elect - VOTE NOW

Dr. Smith is highly engaged with NAM and TMA and is the immediate past president of NAM. He is also on the state council of the Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Physicians.

The DMS bill is back in the legislature already for 2019. Dr. Smith was one of the state's strongest voices for physicians last year OPPOSING this bill. Strong leadership like his will be important in the next two years to work to preserve physician-led, team-based care.

President's Reception Highlights

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2019 NAM President's Reception and Annual Meeting for the Medical Foundation of Nashville. We recognized our 2018 board members, installed our 2019 president, and recognized those physicians who have been practicing for 50 years. We look forward to a great 2019! Day on the Hill: March 26, 2019

Join NAM and TMA for our annual lobby day in Nashville, when we connect physicians directly with lawmakers so they can advocate for their patients and discuss major issues affecting the medical profession in Tennessee. We are planning most individual legislative appointments after noon, so Nashville doctors can only miss half a day of clinic and still participate. More details will be available in March regarding the exact schedule.
