Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
Progress on the development of our next strategic plan continues with the dedication and enthusiasm of our entire community. Our working groups are currently engaged in prioritizing objectives and actions that were developed through the collaboration of more than 70 members of our community and presented in this past fall.
Moving forward, our Coordinating Committee, comprised of members of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee, Cabinet members, deans, student representatives, as well as the co-chairs of our working groups, will assess the working groups’ recommendations and recommend which are achievable and will move our University forward in the next five years. Next week, an update will be provided to the Board of Trustees. In March, we are hopeful to share a third update to the entire Board of Regents.
We will need many hands to implement the next strategic plan. If you are interested in being on one of the implementation teams, please reach out to your dean or vice president.
As we continue to refine the strategic plan and engage the broader community in its implementation, it’s clear that success will depend on collaboration across all levels of the University.
This spirit of collective effort also extends to our academic offerings and resources, such as the catalogue, which plays a crucial role in helping students navigate their educational journey. With that in mind, as we enter the fourth year of our immersive and interactive web-based catalogue, I want to extend my thanks to everyone who has contributed to keeping it updated and making it an invaluable resource for students.
The 2025 Catalogue Editing Cycle for the 2025-26 academic year is now open. Page owners can begin editing their content by navigating to the CourseLeaf tile in PirateNet. Please take a moment to review the updated timeline for editing and available resources for the catalogue.

Covering all mathematical development traditionally employed in computational theory courses, the book reviews essential mathematical background on sets, relations, formal logic, and reasoning about infinite sets.
