And one makes three: After the departures of Heather Herron and Sara Schaefer, Nexstar's CBS affiliate WANE-TV (Channel 15, Fort Wayne) evening anchor Brett Thomas announced his departure. His last newscast was tonight at 11pm. Mr. Thomas joined WANE-TV in 2015. Mr. Thomas will join a local financial planning firm.
Where Are They Now? Former WBTU morning host "Clara Barton" (Jennifer Dempsey) joins KMXB ("Mix 94.1") in Las Vegas, Nevada, as morning show producer. "Mercedes in the Morning" has been on the Las Vegas airwaves for 21 years.
Central
Veteran Indiana Broadcasters to be Inducted into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Richard M. Fairbanks Hall of Fame.
Cumulus' CHR/WYRG (93.9fm, Lawrence) and Classic Hits WJJK (104.5fm, Noblesville) PD Jay Michaels exits after nearly six years with the Shadeland Avenue cluster. Mr. Michaels joined what was then Hot AC/WRWM (93.9fm) after hosting mornings at WMGI (100.7fm, Terre Haute).
Community Radio Partners' WIRE (91.1fm, Lebanon) will celebrate 20 years on the air. "Radio Mom 91.1" wants other broadcasters to send a greeting which they will be happy to play on the air. "This is ________ from W___ in Anytown. Happy birthday Radio Mom," and those MP3s should be sent to midday host Jerry Curtis jcurtisvoice@prodigy.net
The International League names Indianapolis Indians broadcaster Howard Kellman as this year’s recipient of the Spirit of the International League Award. Mr. Kellman started calling Indianapolis Indians baseball 43 years ago. The Indians will recognize Mr. Kellman in between double header games on Friday July 27, Indianapolis Indians baseball is on the radio at iHeart's Sports/WNDE (1260am, Indianapolis) and translator W248AW (97.5fm, Indianapolis).
Southwest
It was January 2005 when Rusty James joined South Central's Evansville cluster. Four years ago, Mr. James became OM for the cluster. In addition, Mr. James also programmed AC/WIKY-FM (104.1fm, Evansville) and Classic Rock/WABX (107.5fm, Evansville), along with hosting afternoons at WIKY. South Central sold the cluster to Midwest Communications in 2014. At the end of June, Mr. James will leave the cluster and join Max Media as OM for their Norfolk, Virginia five radio station cluster.

The Indianapolis-based DOS will be responsible for the development, maintenance and growth of all revenue streams: national, agency, local/direct, digital and non-spot/NTR.
