 Meet the Board 

Michael O'Connor (MSPM, '06) has a passion for learning that would rival most, and while that's evident from the multiple degrees he has earned, he doesn't consider learning to be just something that happens in the classroom. 
"I believe that learning is a lifelong journey and one that will most likely never end for me," he said. "The future is bright and there are many new things to learn, try, and witness."

After 11 years of teaching and eight years of advising, criminal justice instructor and alumna Deb Rice (MSCJ, '04) retired at the end of the spring 2017 semester. Rice earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the university in 1975, and then returned in the fall of 2000 to complete her master's degree. In addition to being the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' first female park police officer, Rice worked as a probation and parole officer for the State of Wisconsin and served in the United States Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2004. Congratulations, Deb!

ISCM student Jeaneau Swenson knows that if there is one constant in life, it is change, and constant change can teach you how to adapt. This skill—along with her coursework and the leadership experience she gained as a firefighter and EMT—served her well as she moved from a manufacturing firm to an internship with an aerospace firm.
