Self-Care Corner - Little Gift
Everyday, give yourself a little gift. Whether that is a good cup of coffee (my personal favorite), a quick walk, hitting snooze for an extra five minutes (be careful though..) but you get the gist.
Whatever gift you choose to give to yourself, be fully in that moment. Allow the experience to permeate your every sense. Really savor that moment. We know from research that savoring or extending those positive emotions can increase the positive impact on your wellbeing. Savoring can be done by sharing the experience with another, slowing yourself down, thinking about the experience later on, and many other ways. It really becomes a gift that keeps on giving!
It is so important to make time for these experiences in our day to day. What's great about savoring is you don't have to save it for a specific, special moment. Notice any time you feel a positive emotion and do what you can to extend that feeling.
