Loves About Brebeul
I love the community at Brebeuf. Every day when I walk into school I just see people talking and having fun with each other and it is a really loving and caring environment. I think this is the best high school you can go to if you want to learn more about yourself without being heavily judged by your peers. Brebeuf is a great place for people to succeed in their own way.
Favorite Class
My favorite class is my Intro to Entrepreneurship class because it is teaching me real skills I can use to help with my future plans and goals.

Future Plans
I am going to Purdue to study business and marketing and hope to be an entrepreneur one day.
Random Facts
I am a long snapper.
I ate a hot dog with Joey Chestnut.
I love dolphins.
I love the Greatest Showman.
What is your current favorite show or series on tv, Netflix, etc?
My favorite shows on Netflix have to be The Office and Parks and Recreation.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go and why?
I would love to go to California to be in the warm weather and walk around Hollywood. It would be so much fun to just go around and see all of the movie sets and all the famous things California has to offer.
You were recently awarded the Evans Scholarship!  Congratulations!  Can you tell us a little bit about it and what it took to achieve?
The Evans Scholarship is a full-tuition and housing college scholarship that is given to gold caddies. The requirements to be considered for this scholarship are: You must caddy for at least 100 loops (100 rounds); Must maintain good grades; Have leadership qualities and attain leadership positions: and must also have a financial need. Once you meet these requirements, you submit all your information into the Evans Scholar website where they will pick around 12 people for Indiana to be a finalist for the scholarship. After you become a finalist, there is a large interview portion that decides whether or not you receive the scholarship. You have to stand in front of a room of around 200 people and answer questions about yourself in an almost-press conference style. About a week after the interview, you get notified whether or not you have received the scholarship.
It took many years of work to get this scholarship, and the hardest part was doing it from 8th grade to my junior year of high school, and not seeing the immediate results for my hard work. I had to wake up early, around 5:00 a.m. every morning in the summer, to see if I could get a loop. It was also very hard balancing football summer workouts with caddying and took all of my time during the summer. This scholarship took a lot of dedication and hard work and I am very proud of it.
Click here to learn more about the Evans Scholarship.
You are now in your final semester at Brebeuf Jesuit.  Has it sunk in yet?
Yes, I think it has sunk in now that I have officially signed up to go to Purdue in the fall of 2018. Before I officially signed, it never really hit me and was always just there, but now it is real. I am sad to be leaving Brebeuf and all the memories I have created here, but I am so excited to start this new journey in my life.
In what way have you changed the most since your freshman year?
I think I have changed physically the most since freshman year. Going into football my freshman year I was only about 120 pounds and was around 5’ 7". Now with my senior year of football over I am around 180 pounds and 5’ 10".

The backbone of all financial aid is the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) which opened on October 1 at www.fafsa.gov and should be completed as soon as possible for the 2018-19 year. Many schools also require completion of the CSS Profile CSS Profile, administered by the College Board, which asks more specific questions and accesses additional funds. The FAFSA is free; the CSS Profile has a small fee.

Freshman Service Days for the Spring Semester

We will begin accepting permission forms next week!  Freshman Service Days are offered each year to the freshmen to help introduce them to the part of Brebeuf Jesuit's mission of being men and women for others.  it is our hope that it will start them on a path of service beginning before and going far beyond the hours which they are required to complete during their junior and senior years.  This is also a great opportunity for freshmen to get to know more of their classmates and teachers outside of the classroom.
Freshmen can participate in one or all of the Freshman Service Days as space allows.  Class absences will be excused as long as permission slips are turned in 1 week prior to the trip.
Sign up on our signupgenius.com page here.
The permission slip can be accessed here.

The Brebeuf Food Drive Has Launched!

Brebeuf Jesuit is once again holding a canned food drive during Lent, February 14-March 29, 2018.
For years, our students, faculty, staff, and families have participated in this meaningful drive supporting St. Vincent de Paul’s food pantry, donating enough cans of food to fill two semi-trucks! In addition, cash donations from our school community are able to buy tens of thousands of pounds of food each year.
Homeroom classrooms at Brebeuf will hold collections to once again to compete for the grand prize – a pizza party. To maximize our school’s impact, this year’s goal is for every student and staff member is to collect 20 cans each.
St. Vincent de Paul feeds roughly 3,300 families every week, or roughly 12,000 individuals, many of whom are children and the elderly. Every can is helpful!
How to Help
To contribute to the drive, send any canned food items to Brebeuf Jesuit with a Brebeuf student, who will deliver the items to their homeroom collection. To contribute monetarily (Make checks out to: St. Vincent de Paul, memo: Food Pantry), and bring donations of support to the Main Lobby Desk at Brebeuf Jesuit.
By coming together during this food drive, the entire Brebeuf Jesuit community can make an incredible difference in the lives of thousands in need here in Indianapolis! Let’s bring in those cans to your student’s homeroom and support St. Vincent de Paul’s food pantry.

Financial Aid for the 2018-2019 School Year

The application to apply for financial aid for the 2018-2019 school year is available.
Brebeuf Jesuit is committed to educating students based on their ability to learn, rather than their ability to pay.  Financial aid awards are not based on academic merit or diversity – the only factor considered is demonstrated financial need.  More than $2.4 million of aid is awarded to students and families on a financial-needs basis.
All financial aid information is treated confidentially and we request that families do not discuss their awards with others.  Awards are determined on an individual case basis by the Financial Aid Committee, which is made up of five members of Brebeuf Jesuit administration and headed by the Chief Financial Officer.
Financial Aid Details
Families applying for financial aid are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible before the deadline of March 31, 2018. Financial aid awards are for one year only and you must reapply each year.
Applications must be submitted with:
  • 2017 Tax Return information
  • Payment in the amount of $27.00
Each parent/guardian must submit a separate application and tax information if the couple’s status is separated, divorced or never married.
FACTS will send a confidential report to Brebeuf Jesuit which will be evaluated by the Financial Aid Committee to determine an aid package based on individual need.
Families that wish to appeal their award must write a letter to the Financial Aid Committee outlining any additional circumstances, along with providing supporting documentation that should be taken into consideration. For more information on appealing financial aid awards, please contact Melissa Grabowski at mgrabowski@brebeuf.org.
