"I can’t wait to have live dance back on stage at the Mahaiwe this October. The theater itself is such a perfect and intimate venue to experience this extraordinarily powerful group of dancers. As the younger version of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, these performances will not disappoint."

"Consistent and enchanting, The Wailin' Jennys have their own sound — sprightly, accessible, a little old-timey, and tapped into the glories of daily life. Their melodies and lyrics contain delightful surprises, and they twine their vocals together like they grew up on the same front porch."

Once-a-Century Replacement
The 120-year-old slate tiles on the roof of the National Historic Register 1905 Mahaiwe theater will soon be replaced as part of a $500,000 multi-year exterior restoration. Most recent funding comes from a generous $100,000 capital grant from the Feigenbaum Foundation. The Foundation joins the Prospect Hill Foundation, Jane & Jack Fitzpatrick Trustdonors at our 2023 Gala, and the MCC’s Cultural Facilities Fund in supporting the cost of new slates, patching, repainting, and repointing of the roof, decorative soffit, door and window trim, and chimney. $75,000 remains to be raised to complete the planned repairs by September 2025.
