Apple Festival VolunteersJoin Us for the 32nd Annual Apple Festival!
We're reaching out to individuals, groups, or teams who can lend their time and energy to help make this year's Apple Festival a resounding success. This event, featuring over 25,000 pounds of fresh apple varieties from B.C.'s Okanagan, promises entertainment, food trucks, an apple tasting tent, a children's area, apple trees for sale, and so much more. As a pivotal fundraiser for UBC Botanical Garden's plant conservation efforts, your participation is crucial in celebrating B.C.'s apple diversity.
EVENT DATE: Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th, 2023 - from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Friday, Saturday & Sunday! WHERE: UBC Botanical Garden, 6804 SW Marine Drive, Vancouver, BC. WHAT: Volunteer shifts are available on Thursday, October 12th and Friday, October 13th, to assist with bagging apples, event preparations, and setup. Additionally, we need over 100 volunteers each day on Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th. Shifts begin at either 10 am or 1 pm and last approximately 4 hours. We're seeking friendly volunteers who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Come and enjoy yourself, meet like-minded individuals, and help us commemorate the delicious diversity of apples. Plus, volunteers are invited to explore the Festival before or after their shift (with no admission fee).
