Free Tax Help Available

For many people the cost of a paid preparer is unaffordable. Luckily, United Way is offering two programs to help low- to moderate-income individuals and families in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties.

MyFreeTaxes.com

If you have computer skills and a combined income of $66,000 or less annually, you can utilize the website, www.myfreetaxes.com and prepare your own state and federal taxes for free. This easy-to-use website is sponsored by United Way Worldwide and powered by H&R Block.

For more information, view the My Free Taxes flyer or get started now at www.myfreetaxes.com!

Money in Your Pocket Tax Preparation Sites

Not computer savvy? Individuals and families who make $55,000 or less are eligible to have their taxes prepared for free by trained volunteers. Money in Your Pocket campaign volunteers will prepare computerized, electronic returns through the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Tax Income Assistance (VITA) program. From start to finish, volunteers help prepare and file state and federal taxes for free at sites throughout the Capital Region.
