Campus Updates

Students playing Spikeball in Clock Tower quad

Outdoor fun

We’ve probably never appreciated warm weather as much as this year. Ready for hammocks, cornhole, or Frisbee golf? With your NazCard ID, you can borrow those and other outdoor equipment, including a Bluetooth-enabled sound system, kickballs, lawn bowling sets, pickleball sets, wiffle ball sets, Air O Sport, Bulzibucket, and more. See Outdoor Fun & Fitness.

Dining update

An outdoor dining tent is expected to open in the O'Connor quad next Thursday, April 1.

Surrounded by support

If deadlines, projects, or exams feel overwhelming right now, please know that you are not alone. We are at the point in the semester where we typically would be looking forward to a break, and when that is combined with the extra challenges of the pandemic, it can be a lot to manage. Let's look out for and support each other.
Even though all these things might feel overwhelming, try to think of a time when you felt this way before and you managed to get through it. This might help you remember that you won't always feel this way. We have a lot to look forward to, and doing something that reminds you of that — enjoying the sunshine, being in touch with friends and family, or making a fun plan for what you'll do once pandemic restrictions lift — might help you see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
If none of these strategies are working for you, try to pay extra attention to your basic needs — sleeping, eating, taking care of your physical health. This week’s student activities include a bonus virtual yoga class at 2 p.m. Saturday to recharge. Free mindfulness and well-being resources are available at headspace.com/ny.
Sometimes we need professional support. If that's you, or someone you care about, see NazCares or contact Counseling Services. You are surrounded by care, and we will make it through this tough time together.

Free bus use

Rochester Regional Transit Service (RTS) bus rides to/from campus are free for students, faculty, and staff with your Nazareth ID at these times: Wednesday nights plus Friday evenings through Sunday afternoons. It's $1 at all other times. Naz-RTS spring 2021 schedule.

COVID alert level

Our campus alert level continues to be 2, which indicates modified operations due to case levels in the area around campus.
