Capital Campaign Update
On behalf of my co-chairs (pictured above with President Sharon Cohen Anisfeld), it is my pleasure to share with you the latest updates about our new Hebrew College shared campus construction, which we were privileged to tour yesterday.
The Capital Campaign’s theme—Branching Out, Building Together—is perfect for this time of year. Spring is filled with the beauty of colors, the richness of new life, and the songs of birds sharing a home with their trees. This reminds me of our wonderful new home. We are definitely branching out and building together. The construction is moving right along and going very well. Please take a good look at the photographs in this issue. Much progress is being made as we renovate existing spaces and build out new ones. This is really exciting and happening ON TIME. Best of all, we are gearing up to move from our building on Herrick Road to our “hub” on Washington Street in Newton in January 2023. Ultimately, in good weather, I can imagine a celebratory parade with lots of music and friends carrying our Torahs into this new home. Can you?
But before such time I want you to know we will be arranging tours of the construction site this summer. We would love to welcome you to show you the highlights as we document the site's progress.
In addition, Hebrew College is celebrating its centennial year! What an auspicious time to remind you of the naming opportunities still available in our new building and campus. Imagine some day showing your children and grandchildren your names. What a wonderful family legacy. Please visit our web page to learn more or to learn more or contact Rosa Kramer Franck, Director of Development, at rfranck@hebrewcollege.edu.
Thank you for taking this journey with us. What a privilege!

Building Together: Mark Atkins & Miho Sato
"Prozdor left me with life lessons. I learned so much from the various sources of text that I studied that have always been a guiding light. Perhaps most importantly, I learned how important it is to give back to the community. Education is the beacon for the future progress of Judaism. It’s very instrumental for Jews going forward to know about their heritage, to know about their legacy, to learn life lessons, to develop compassion, to build a moral compass for the future. For me, Hebrew College was—and is—a blessing, and I’ve been blessed that I’m able to do something for future generations of students, to help contribute to the college’s next 100 years.” — Mark Atkins, Prozdor `65

Construction Is Underway!
After breaking ground in November, construction on our new shared campus began. Over the past few months, our new Beit Midrash started taking shape (above, left) and framing for the addition is now up (above, right).
