A year in the life
For a year now, you've been receiving these monthly newsletters. For a year now, we've been figuring out day by day, hour by hour, how to love God and love neighbor when the former sometimes seems far and the latter needs to be far. I'm thankful for all the time you've spent in this year investing in what our youth ministry is doing through reading these emails, volunteering at events, giving to support our work, and encouraging our students as well as myself.
This March, we're starting to add some things back to the calendar in the hopes that good news continues. This has the potential to be an incredibly special few weeks in the lives of our students as we continue the regathering process, serve others, and learn what resurrection means in this season of reemerging and regathering. I want to call your attention to two events in particular:
- On March 7 from 5-6:30, we'll be splitting into middle and high school groups to share a meal, hang out, and continue our spiritual formation. Meal will be provided, so students don't need a brown bag dinner this week.
- On March 21 from 4-7:30, the youth will have our own Holy Mischief Day. Students will spit into groups to take on random acts of kindness projects to show love to our community.
Stay tuned via social media and these newsletters as late spring and summer come into focus. Staff and leadership are praying for and planning how to use these months to best further our regathering, so expect to hear much more soon!
