New Dates Posted for Required Membership Training Course: Ethics Over Instincts

Our sense of right or wrong and our tendency to do one thing over another thing is instinctive. Decision making is often navigated on autopilot. In most cases a Realtor’s® autopilot or instincts are aligned with the Code of Ethics. Ethics Over Instincts: Sharpening the Real Estate GPS (Suburban West's 2019-2021 Required Membership Training Course) will address common scenarios where instincts and ethics clash giving attendees an opportunity to adjust their practice as needed. Click here to access the upcoming course calendar.

Please note, to parallel the National Association of Realtors’® Code of Ethics deadline, the Suburban West Ethics Over Instincts course deadline has been extended from December 31st, 2020 to December 31st, 2021. Philadelphia Postpones Property Reassessment Due to Coronavirus

City officials announced that Philadelphia will not reassess properties next year due to operational limitations caused by the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, most property owners will keep their current assessments and maintain the same property tax bill, if the city’s tax rate remains the same. Properties that have new construction, expiring abatements, renovations, subdivisions or consolidations — or errors in prior assessments — will still be reassessed. Those property owners will receive notice of their assessments by March 31st, and their new values will take effect for taxes in 2022.
