From the Ranch House

Ranch House Closure

The Ranch House will be closed Monday, Feb. 8 through Wednesday, Feb. 10. During the closure, we will be cleaning HVAC ducts, draining and cleaning the lap pool, and replacing spa filters in the basement mechanical room.

Board Clarifies Language on Vehicle Parking at RVR

At its monthly meeting on Wednesday, the Board approved language clarifying what vehicles are and are not allowed at RVR. The Board unanimously adopted an Addendum to the existing Vehicle Parking, Storage, Operation and Repair portion of our Master Declaration. The Addendum provides definition to types of vehicles such as motor homes, recreational vehicles, industrial and commercial vehicles. Click here to view the Vehicle Parking and Storage language; and click here to view the Addendum, which provides clarity and definition to the types of permitted and non-permitted vehicles.

The Board’s action is an important step in its efforts to enforce provisions of our Master Declaration. Over the next few months, we will raise awareness about these vehicles in our weekly newsletter. If you have a vehicle that may be affected by the Vehicle Parking, Storage, Operation and Repair language, please contact General Manager Sterling Page to confirm whether the vehicle is or is not allowed at RVR. There will be a “grace period” between now and spring for owners of the non-permitted vehicles to make sure they’re able to comply with our governing documents. Beginning mid-April, homeowners whose vehicles are not in compliance will be given warnings, and starting May 1, they will be issued Notices of Violation and Fines.
Holiday Light Removal
Per the River Valley Ranch Master Association: Holiday Lighting Policy, "Lighting may be on until January 31st. Holiday yard ornaments/decorations, visible holiday lights, and house icicle lights must be off and removed by January 31st. Outdoor tree lights must be turned off after January 31st, but homeowners have until March 1st to remove tree lights."

Reminders & Highlights

Calling all RVR Owners!
We need your help in shaping the future of River Valley Ranch.

The RVR Master Association Board of Directors has appointed an Ad Hoc Long Range Planning Committee to develop and propose a long range plan for the RVR community. The Committee will look to consider facilities and programs that are most important to residents as RVR matures to full buildout. The plan will be designed to:

·  Maintain the desirability and attractiveness of the RVR community;
·  Enhance the quality of life and culture within RVR; and,
·  Protect RVR property values

Community Representatives on the Committee include John Lund (Chair and RVR Board Member), Bill Brown, Leslie Marcus, Michael Banbury and Nina Price.

Please look for future communication from the Planning Committee with information on upcoming opportunities to engage on this important topic via surveys, online meetings, virtual interviews, and more. The Committee wants and needs to hear your ideas!

“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.”

Cross-Country Trails
The cross-country ski trails on the golf course are now groomed!
Please do not walk on groomed cross-country trails! People and their dogs have been walking on the freshly groomed trail and damaging it. It’s best practice to stay as far to one side of the groomed track as possible and walk single-file to minimize impact on the corduroy.

Yoga Update

Shelly, our regular yoga instructor, has a torn rotator cuff that will take time to recover with physical therapy and rest. We look forward to welcoming her back to the fitness schedule once she is healed.
Mimi Dora's classes have been well received and highly attended. We are happy to report that Mimi will be helping us fill the gap in the schedule and will take over regular yoga classes while Shelly is out.

Masks in The Gym

Remember, members must wear a mask the entire time they are at the Ranch House facility. This includes while working out in the gym and fitness room. Also, be sure to wipe down equipment after use.
