There are many action items to take care of before you attend your New Student Conference. Details on some of these items can be found below. Additionally, we recommend that you check your Howdy Portal > Registration Readiness tab for registration holds that will keep you from registering for classes at your NSC. Taking care of these prior to arrival will ensure the smoothest NSC experience! Learn more about checking registration holds by visiting the Aggie One Stop website. Common registration holds and how to resolve them are listed below.

Part 1 of the mandatory Online Orientation is available and must be completed before your NSC. These modules were created to help prepare you for your NSC and take action on items that may prevent your ability to register for classes.
To access Online Orientation, go to tx.ag/onlineorientation > Click "Student Login" > Log in with your NetID and password. Those who complete the program as "Family/Guest" will have their account reset and will need to complete it again.
| Upload proof of vaccination against bacterial meningitis to MedProctor. The meningitis deficiency hold will prevent you from checking into your NSC and registering for classes, so it is imperative that you fulfill this requirement as soon as possible prior to your NSC.
All incoming resident undergraduate students will have to select a Locked or Variable tuition rate plan in Howdy (My Finances Tab in the Billing Tuition and Fees Channel) before being allowed to register for classes for the first time.
| Some incoming students are required to take the Texas Success Initiative before their NSC. Double-check that you have submitted documentation or complete the assessment to determine your exemption status.

| The weather may be hot and/or rainy during the NSC. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes as you will be traveling around campus. Additionally, campus classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums tend to be chilly, so we suggest bringing a light jacket. Don’t forget to check the weather forecast in advance as a rain jacket or umbrella may be necessary.
