Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
We are continuing the Office of the Provost’s Scholarly Course Release Program for the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 semesters. This program allows full-time faculty to apply for a 3-credit course release, freeing up time from the usual teaching load to advance or complete important scholarly work. You can view the criteria and application process here.
Please make sure to submit your application with your Chairperson’s evaluation to your Dean by Wednesday, November 4. Deans will then submit their ranked applications to the Provost’s Office by Wednesday, November 18. We encourage faculty to consider this mechanism to support scholarship and grants work.
Thank you, as always, for your dedication to our students and to the mission of Seton Hall.

Expand Research Material Access with Inter Library Loan
University Libraries’ Inter Library Loan Network (ILL) can deliver electronically requested articles or book chapters, often within 24 hours after submission. Faculty are encouraged to first search the SHUSearch system for the material they are looking for. If a resource is unavailable through Seton Hall's collections, an interlibrary loan request can be submitted for assistance. Please note that articles requested through ILL are not eligible for course use.
For additional information on any of our resource tools or on how to submit a ILL request, please feel free to contact us via e-mail via the University Libraries Homepage.
