University of Oregon
A Message from the Division of Student Life

Dear student,
We look forward to having you join us on campus, and it is my sincere hope you take advantage of all that the University of Oregon has to offer to make the most of your student experience. As a UO student, please remember that our expectation for you includes positive and respectful behavior at all activities and events, including athletic competitions.
All students are receiving this message to ensure they are aware of the policies and expectations for athletic events. Enthusiasm, fun, and excitement are all important parts of the fan experience. Even so, it is my hope and expectation that you will continue to exhibit an exceptional level of sportsmanship demonstrated by your peers and by our outstanding student athletes.
Here are some very important reminders about attending home football games at Autzen Stadium. Please read the following section closely as some policies and procedures have changed, as well as potential consequences for violations of these policies and procedures.
  • You must enter the SOUTH gates marked “Student General Admission.”
  • You must have your current UO ID card and present your game ticket on your mobile device. Students are not permitted to use the ID of another student to gain entry into the game. If you are unable to attend a game and have been assigned a ticket, please return the ticket via the mobile portal prior to Friday at noon to avoid penalties and so your ticket may be reissued to another student. Students found using another student’s ID will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards for misuse of a university ID. You must get a wristband as you enter the student gate. Students who received a ticket via the student lottery must have a game-specific wristband to sit/stand in the student section. Wristbands are only issued at the student entrances, which are clearly marked at the South Gate only. Other gates will not be able to provide wristbands, and students who gain entry to the stadium without getting a wristband will be denied entry to the student section.
  • It is not permitted to bring any alcohol or drugs of any kind into Autzen Stadium. You will get ejected, face student conduct charges, and may lose future ticket privileges for a violation of this policy. Individuals appearing visibly intoxicated and/or individuals with alcohol or other substances may be denied admission to the game.
  • Alcohol must be discarded prior to entering the bag check lines. If alcohol is found during the bag check, you will not be able to enter the venue for the game as well as future games.
  • Bags and backpacks are prohibited unless they align with the clear bag policy. Please refer to goducks.com/clearbag for specific prohibited and permitted items.
  • Autzen Stadium does not allow fans to re-enter the stadium after they’ve exited at any point during the game.
  • Although beer and wine are sold at concession stands throughout Autzen Stadium to those 21 and older, consumption of alcohol is not permitted in student seating areas.
Please arrive 45 minutes prior to kick-off.
As a reminder, the following items are also prohibited at Autzen Stadium: open umbrellas, all glass or metal containers, vacuum bottles or other similar (thermos-type) insulated containers, open plastic beverage containers (unless empty), weapons, fireworks, laser pointers, explosives, or munitions. Students agree as a condition of the ticket license to allow inspection of any articles capable of concealing these prohibited items.
Students engaging in behaviors that are counter to our campus community values and stadium policies may forfeit ticket privileges in addition to facing municipal and/or student conduct actions, violations of stadium policies, or sanctions described by the Code of Conduct including but not limited to alcohol-related violations. Students found responsible for two or more violations will lose at least one home game ticket privilege as well as face any other appropriate sanctions.
I hope this season’s spotlight on our campus community will shine brightly on our outstanding athletic programs and on all of our students at their best. I ask for your assistance in reminding your friends and fellow students about the importance of being good sports, positive fans, and gracious hosts.
Thanks for your assistance and for your enthusiastic support of Oregon athletics. Go Ducks!
Regards,
Marcus R. Langford
