Dr. Church, a family physician based in Hiawassee, GA, joins a prestigious group of physicians at the forefront of initiatives, education, resources, and advocacy efforts aimed at better-serving family physicians and their patients.

AAFP Requesting Examples of Administrative / Patient Burden Stories Related to Medicare Part B Vaccinations – Due January 31 |
The AAFP Government Relations team is kicking off a multi-year effort to explore opportunities to address coverage issues related to the administration and reimbursement of vaccines under Medicare Part B. Currently, Medicare covers all vaccines without cost-sharing but splits coverage between Part B (outpatient care) and Part D (prescription drug coverage).

GHFA Seeking Applicants For First Cycle 2024 Community Health Grant Awards Program |

The Georgia Healthy Family Alliance (GHFA) is currently seeking applications for the first cycle of the 2024 Community Health Grant Awards program. Grant awards of up to $5,000 are made to GAFP member-affiliated community organizations that support program priorities including underserved populations and community projects that promote healthy practices. Current GAFP members including medical students, residents and active/ life members are eligible to apply. The application deadline for the first cycle 2024 awards is February 1.
