Are you interested in developing leadership skills, advocating for student needs on campus, and creating a more welcoming undergraduate community? If so, then the Tulane Undergraduate Assembly (TUA) is for you! TUA acts as the student governing body on campus and is made up of 34 students who are passionate about making a change.
This Fall, TUA is holding its annual Elections and Selections Process to fill 7 seats for their First-Year Delegates and their 6 selection seats for 2025-2026, and any incoming first-year undergraduate student is encouraged to participate (only first-year students are eligible to vote). Hullabaloo Hello is an immersive orientation experience and celebratory welcome to Tulane for all new undergraduate students. This celebration encompasses move-in, orientation programming, signature events, and so much more.
A signature Hullabaloo Hello event, Welcome to the Wave unites the incoming class for the first time as you discover what it means to be a member of the Tulane community.
Another hallmark of Hullabaloo Hello, Convocation brings together new students for an official welcome from the President of Tulane University, Michael Fitts. Following the welcome, you'll join a second line led by a traditional New Orleans brass band. It’s the perfect start to an incredible college experience!

Outreach Tulane is a campus-wide day of service, coordinating over 1,000 volunteers at project sites throughout New Orleans. First-years work alongside upperclass peers, faculty, and staff to support the community you'll call home for the next four years.
Fittingly, many traditions center around food and festivals as New Orleans is one of the food capitals of the world. Crawfest is a student-run music and crawfish festival hosted on campus. This annual event is a top highlight for many Tulanians!

To support your transition to campus, we've created a "TU Do" list of important tasks to complete throughout the summer. We highly encourage you to review the checklist at the start of each month for a reminder of upcoming tasks and deadlines.
|
Below are just a few of the checklist items to complete in June:
|
-
Mid-June: Check your email for information on how to ship items to Tulane for in-room delivery during move-in. New students and families will also receive this information via mail. We strongly recommend using the shipping portal. All residential students are assigned a campus mail code to manage mail, which is included in the mail packet. Please save your mail code for future reference.
- June 20: You will receive your Splash Card in your check-in packet when you arrive on campus for move in. Upload your Splash Card / Tulane ID photo as soon as possible to ensure you receive your Splash Card during check-in.

|
|
Up Next in The Navigator: You'll be introduced to Housing & Residence Life and explore how living and learning blend seamlessly to enrich your undergraduate experience. Plus, you'll discover how you can prepare for your Move-In day! Stay tuned and check your Tulane inbox on July 1 for the next edition!
Until then, you can catch up on previous editions of The Navigator on our website!
