Monsieur Hulot finds himself perplexed by the complexity of a gadget-filled Paris. He attempts to meet with a business contact but soon becomes lost. His journey parallels that of an American tourist. The two meet and develop an interest in one another. They eventually get together at a restaurant, along with several other quirky characters. Cost: students $4; faculty/staff $6.

On Friday, Aug. 2, all Campus Dining locations will be closed for an All-Staff Day of Learning. Campus Dining will coordinate for multiple food trucks to be on campus to provide meal opportunities to our students, faculty, staff and guests.

Mahaffey Business Library Closed for Remodeling through Aug. 5 The Business Library will continue to provide a range of services including circulation of materials and reference via “Ask A Business Librarian.” The space will be closed and there will be no access to Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Datastream or Morningstar Direct. OIT Lunch & Learn: What’s New in Office 2019? A new version of Office is available. This OIT Lunch & Learn will show you some new features such as Excel chart and function options. Plus, you’ll see a demonstration of new customization options and example use cases. Faculty/staff must register for this event in Endeavor. Local retirees and students can contact training@nd.edu.

The Center for Social Concerns awards Community Impact Grants for community-engaged research, teaching and learning that enact the values of Catholic social tradition. The grants are open to faculty, undergraduate or graduate students, and community partners. Grant proposals are reviewed once in the fall and once in the spring. The fall deadline for grant proposals is Monday, Sept. 16.

Tech Upgrades and Service Interruptions

Starting Monday, July 29, you will use the new Okta two-step login service to access most ND services. You can login to your Okta account to add back-up devices — the OIT recommends setting up the Okta Verify mobile app, and at least one other back-up option. You can also view other settings and change your password.
