Monsieur Hulot finds himself perplexed by the complexity of a gadget-filled Paris. He attempts to meet with a business contact but soon becomes lost. His journey parallels that of an American tourist. The two meet and develop an interest in one another. They eventually get together at a restaurant, along with several other quirky characters. The Center for Social Concerns awards Community Impact Grants for community-engaged research, teaching and learning that enact the values of Catholic social tradition. The grants are open to faculty, undergraduate or graduate students, and community partners. Grant proposals are reviewed once in the fall and once in the spring. The fall deadline for grant proposals is Monday, Sept. 16.

A small stretch of Holy Cross Drive, east of the East Gate to the entrance to the Wilson Faculty/Staff Lot, will be closed Monday, July 29, through Wednesday, July 31, due to underground utility work associated with the construction of the women’s residence hall northeast of Dunne Hall. The closure, which includes the sidewalk, is highlighted in yellow on this map. 
Drivers will be able to access the East Gate via Stepan Drive and the Wilson Faculty/Staff parking lot via Holy Cross Drive. Please see the map, which indicates detours for vehicle traffic with red arrows and pedestrian traffic with blue arrows.
