The Hardship Fund: Emergency Financial Assistance
In light of the recent record rainfall on Long Island caused by severe weather, we want to ensure that SBU employees in our coastal and island community are aware of the resources that may be available to help.
Created By Employees, Funded By Employees, Assistance For Employees
The Hardship Fund is a program that was designed specifically for this purpose - it is a way to assist eligible employees who have exhausted all other avenues for obtaining assistance. The fund is not a loan. It is a grant of up to $599, subject to availability of funds, to address a catastrophe, such as a natural disaster.
How to Apply
The Application Process first requires you to speak with an EAP Coordinator either in person or by phone prior to applying. Call (631) 632-6085 or email eap@stonybrook.edu to schedule an appointment.
