Our recent BioNTX event, "Life Science in Waco: A City to Believe In," showcased the exciting life science renaissance occurring in North Texas. The event featured Grant Carter, MSOL, along with the BioNTX Facilities Advisory Committee. It included dynamic panels discussions on regional developments and a special presentation by AbbVie, which provided valuable insights from the industry perspective. It’s all happening through the Central Texas Cyber Range (CTCR). The CTCR is a collaboration between Baylor University and McLennan Community College focused on building a stronger, more prepared workforce in cybersecurity. From K–12 to continuing professional development, the CTCR aims to make Central Texas a top destination for cybersecurity education and training.

Gary DeBoer - Licensing and Patent Associate |
|
|
Gary DeBoer is a physical chemist and patent agent with experience in industry, government laboratories, and academics. Gary is coming to us from LeTourneau University where he has been a professor of chemistry and director of the LeTourneau Ingenuity Center. His research experience ranges from exploring the chemical mechanisms of carbon nanotube formation to the movement of lithium ions through solid state electrolytes. As a patent agent he has worked with the Air Force Research Lab and was recently an AAAS Science, Technology, and Policy Fellow at the Department of Energy. Gary hopes to catalyze Baylor’s IP disclosure and claiming process to accelerate the entrepreneurial development of high impact, world transforming Baylor technologies.
