Introducing Health Professions Advising
     August 28, 2020
Welcome Class of 2024!
We would like to introduce you to Health Professions Advising at Tufts!

Who are we?
Amanda Stone is the pre-health advisor on campus. She oversees Health Profession Advising and works closely with all current students and alumni. She is also a Jumbo herself!

Ericka Miranda is the program coordinator and manages all aspects of programming and administration of the department. She works on content management of our online resources to provide students with information about preparing for health careers.

What do we do?
We work holistically with students to assist with self-assessment and research into healthcare professions; foster self-directed learning; encourage both curricular and extracurricular growth and development; and stress the importance of integrity, responsibility and professionalism.

If you are interested in pursuing one of the health professions after graduation, we offer information, advice and support to help you plan your curriculum and find health-related opportunities. As an upperclassman or alumnus, we can also help you work through the application process for medical, dental, veterinary and many other health professions graduate schools.

What resources are available?
Appointments – Individual advising appointments are available via phone and zoom. Please note that this year, we will also be launching virtual group advising sessions in order to reach as many of you as we can throughout the academic year.

Website: Our website has lots of accurate information on exploring the various health professions, course requirements, how to find health related and/or research experience and timelines for applying.

Canvas Course: Coming Soon! Sign up for Health-E News to be notified of when it’s launched.
