Nominations are available for the 2024 President’s Leadership Awards & Honors Assembly honoring exemplary student leadership on campus. Nominations will close Friday, March 1. The following awards are available for nomination.
Dr. William E. Porter RSO Advisor of the Year
Registered Student Organization of the Year
University of Memphis 20 under 30
Individual Awards including the Respect & Civility Award, the Distinguished Service Award, the Most Spirited Student Award, and the Outstanding First Year of Involvement Award.
Organization Awards including the Phoenix Award, the Excellence in Service Award, the Collaboration Award, and Program of the Year.
All award winners will be invited to attend the 2024 President’s Leadership Awards held on April 16, 2024 at 5:30 PM.

Carson's Circle is named for Dr. Donald K. Carson, former Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Memphis. The award recognizes a select number of outstanding graduating seniors who exemplify Dr. Carson's ideals of making the university a better place through their involvement and leadership in campus life.
Nominees must be seniors at the University of Memphis who will be graduating in May, August or December of 2024. Nominees should have a minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA and demonstrate the following characteristics:
Leadership and integrity
Outstanding contributions to campus life
Increasing level of leadership responsibility throughout their undergraduate years
Commitment to academic excellence
Productive and respectful relationships with faculty, staff, and fellow students
Pride in the University of Memphis
Commitment to diversity and inclusion
A tangible legacy they are leaving behind upon their graduation from the University of Memphis.
To be considered for this honor, students must submit an application packet and obtain two letters of recommendation. Please consider recommending a graduating senior today! Please email mktyler@memphis.edu with any questions you may have about this year's process.

| Weeks of Welcome Applications Now Open
Apply today to be a Weeks of Welcome (WOW) Leader! Weeks of Welcome leaders serve as the backbone of the incoming student process at the University of Memphis. At the heart, WoW Leaders provide a friendly face and a helpful hand to guide the new students transition to the UofM. This leadership opportunity supports the mission of the University of Memphis and Student Leadership and Involvement to provide programmatic support to Weeks of Welcome in August 2024. The primary role of a WoW Leader is to co-lead a small group of 15-25 incoming students during the Weeks of Welcome. WoW Leaders are expected to be present for all parts of WoW, engage in welcoming dialogue, and invest in the incoming students. Applications close at 11:59 PM on March 15.
