Welcome to another exciting year at Lipscomb University! We're thrilled to see campus come alive once again with the energy and enthusiasm that your students bring. Whether you're a seasoned college parent or experiencing this journey for the first time, please know that you are a valued member of our Herd.

Lipscomb University’s mission is to be a Christ-centered community that prepares learners for purposeful lives through rigorous academics and transformative experiences.

As director of parent engagement on campus, I look forward to partnering with your family to help live out this mission together. As we embark on this academic year together, you’re invited to stay connected through our parent events, monthly LUPP emails and prayer Zooms, social media and resources designed specifically with you in mind. 

Your partnership is invaluable, and we look forward to sharing in the achievements, challenges and memorable moments that lie ahead. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook so you can keep up with the parent program!

Just so you know, your student will get a weekly "Have You Herd?" email which highlights events and information for students.

PARENT NEWS
Bison Parent Prayer Gathering image
On the first Tuesday of each month the parent program hosts a monthly prayer Zoom for our Lipscomb families. You are invited to join us as we get to know other parents, share prayer requests and praises. Each month, a guest speaker who is a faculty member, local minister or parent, will facilitate our time together. The Zoom begins at 10:55 a.m. CT. This is the same time that our students will be in “The Gathering” which is our large group chapel.
What a beautiful thing it is to take a break in the day to worship and pray together. Feel free to join us on screen or by voice—we understand you may be working!

The Office of Spiritual Formation is excited for students to be back on campus and to jump into another fall semester together. As you may know, we gather each Tuesday of the semester for The Gathering. This is a special time where, as a Lipscomb community, we are prayerfully being formed more and more into the image of God through worship, prayer and teaching. 
Each semester our speakers all share a common theme. We are thrilled to announce that this semester's theme is BE. Speakers will each share one of the "be" statements found in Scripture; think, "be still and know," "be strong and courageous," or "be transformed" and so many more! 
You are invited to watch each week's Gathering the following day on Lipscomb University's YouTube page. We also appreciate and welcome your prayers each and every week that students will encounter God, be formed by the Spirit, and embody Christlike character during the Gathering and in all the other spaces of their life.

Bisons Weekend, a combination of a family weekend and homecoming, is Nov. 13-15! 
Leading up to the weekend, lots of activities on campus are planned for our students, and a wide variety of events and activities for everyone take place during the weekend. You don’t want to miss this weekend! Registration opens Sept. 22!

Student and Parent Loan Borrowers: If this is your first year to use a Federal Student Loan, be sure you have completed the Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling at Studentaid.gov to ensure on-time processing of your funds.

Board of Trustees extends McQueen's presidency to 2030

President Candice McQueen's transformative leadership and accomplishments were recognized by the Board of Trustees as it granted Lipscomb's 18th president a five-year contract extension during the board's summer meeting. LEARN MORE.
