Time flies when you are having fun!  School of Rock Silver Spring is celebrating our 11th anniversary and feeling all the feels when we think back on all the amazing students who've crossed our doorstep.  We would also like to thank our amazing staff and teachers who truly give it all they've got to make this place so special.  Here's to the next decade of ROCK!!

What’s your favorite thing to do at SOR?
I think it's really fun! I really like going to rehearsals. 

What do you like best about SOR?
I think mostly the people because they are fun and it's fun to hang with them. The shows are really fun and you get to look forward to the next show season and be in a a band.

What advice would you give to a new student? 
Have fun and play your part. If you get stressed out or get lost, just keep going and pick up where you left off. 

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 5 FAVORITE BANDS?
Imagine Dragons, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Bingbong, Sigourney Weavers.

Thanks to Omega Studios!


We had another great session at Omega Studios in Rockville on Saturday, August 25th!

One of the aspects of being a trained musician is knowing how to lay down professional tracks and how work with an engineer to ger the result you are looking for.  School of Rock has cultivated a great relationship with Omega Studios and our band have the opportunity to record here on occasion.  

Omega has worked with some of the greats!  Check out this video of Roger Waters who recorded there last year.

Happy 6 year Anniversary PNut!

We are so pleased to announce the 6 year anniversary of the one and only P'nut Johnson. P'Nut teaches in all three of our DC Metro locations. His schedule is always full and his students rarely miss a lesson. P'Nut always has a smile on his face and has been teaching our kids how to be their best, play their best, and strive for nothing but the best. If you haven't hear P'nut play the bass, you are in for a treat. We love P'Nut and could be more grateful to have him as part of the family. Thanks for all you do P'Nut!  Here's to another 6 years!

Adult Band Coming FALL 2018

We've revamped our Adult Band Program and have a lot of cool shows planned.  Stay tuned for more details coming your way soon.  Short, themed sessions where you can try new skills and types of rock.  Let's do this!
