Parent's Night Out

(With Childcare)

Join Berkshire Art Center at its Stockbridge location for a creative, social night out without the hassle of childcare. Grown-ups will participate in an art-making experience while children (ages 3 & up) attend their own class in another studio. Separate faculty artists will lead each event but connect their projects around a central theme so families have something to chat about. This event is free; pizza is provided! Concert & Tea

Sun Feb 11, 3:30–5 p.m.
Enjoy a musical afternoon when Sherri James Buxton and Bob Shepherd entertain at Ventfort Hall. A  tea follows the program, which takes the audience through a variety of relationships including first love, family and friends, and finding that special someone. Buxton and Shepherd perform songs from the Great American Songbook, Broadway, and cabaret. More info

10X10 New Play

Festival Is Here!

Feb 15–Mar 10
Barrington Stage Company (BSC) presents its 13th Annual 10X10 New Play Festival, part of the 2024 10X10 Upstreet Arts Festival. The 10X10 New Play Festival will be presented at the St. Germain Stage at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center in Pittsfield. There will be ten 10-minute plays by 10 playwrights for 100 minutes of joy. The 10X10 New Play Festival cast features 10X10 veterans Matt Neely, BSC Associate Artist Peggy Pharr Wilson, and Robert Zukerman. More info

True Love

The 2024 Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare presents The Course of True Love: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a raucous romp that illustrates the course of love with humor, chaos, and, of course, romance. This special performance at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox is a stop on an annual tour of Shakespeare’s plays, along with a variety of related workshops into middle and high schools, colleges, community centers, and other venues. More info

Close Encounters With Music presents the Avalon String Quartet at Saint James Place. The Art of the String Quartet includes the Berkshire premiere of “For Such a Time as This” by composer Stacy Garropa, the retelling of the biblical Esther story for string quartet and vocalist from a feminist perspective. Puccini’s “Chrysanthemums,” a seldom-performed gem, begins the concert. More info

Berkshire Pond

Hockey Classic

This 4-on 4, 16-team, 96-skater pond hockey tournament is an annual event to celebrate community; health of mind, body, and spirit; and of course the joy of playing hockey in its purest form—on a frozen lake surrounded by the sounds of nature. On hand will be Roberto's Pizza, Best Damn Espresso Truck, and ExtraSpecialTeas. The event is presented by Berkshire Bank, and other sponsors include GB Bagel Company, Barrington Brewery, Canna Provisions—and Classical Tents will provide a warming hut with tables and chairs. More info
