Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month 2022

Dear Community Voice Member,

Community Voice is proud to recognize September 15 through October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month and celebrate the legacy, contributions, and achievements of the Hispanic/Latino community. This celebration aims to highlight the rich diversity of the Hispanic/Latino CF community and Community Voice membership.

“As a mother to a daughter with CF, an advocate to all individuals living with CF, and a proud member of the Hispanic community I want to raise awareness during this Hispanic heritage month and encourage our Hispanic/Latinos to reach out to your providers, family, friends and support system to spread awareness and continue to strengthen our communities.”

We remain dedicated to amplifying diverse Hispanic and Latino voices across research and program areas across the Foundation and raising awareness of programs that support people with CF and their families. For example, CF Peer Connect, a topic-based, one-to-one peer support program for individuals with CF and their family members (ages 16+), has recently expanded to match individuals with Spanish speaking mentors.
