GVSU Recreation - Get Involved, Be Active, Live Healthy

Happy Thanksgiving!

Without you, GVSU Recreation would not be what it is today, and we would not be able to support students in the way we do. No matter your involvement, you have made us better, stronger, and simply one of the best places to be. For that, we cannot thank you enough!

In observance of the holiday, the Recreation Center will be closed Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24, and will reopen on Saturday, November 25.

Tuesday, November 28 is a global celebration of philanthropy - a day for Lakers to join together and maximize our impact.

GVSU Recreation provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities for all levels of ability, competition, and interest, supporting both the physical and mental well-being of all students. Choose GVSU Recreation on Giving Tuesday.

Every gift counts.
Show your Laker pride and make a gift to help the next generation of Lakers succeed.

Empowerment

"Being active allows me to say yes to new adventures. Exercise not only improves my physical strength, but also my mental strength; even the smallest accomplishments leave me feeling empowered. Participating in Campus Recreation programs has also helped me make new connections and build new relationships. Those new friends have made GVSU feel like home."
         - Hannah Stoliker, GVSU Student

Adventure

"Campus Recreation has allowed me to fulfill my love for adventure and given me the opportunity to embark on those adventures, while helping other students find that love for being active. Through employment with the Outdoor Adventures program, I have found passions that I will continue for the rest of my life. Campus Recreation has inspired lifelong adventure in me."
         - Monse Miranda, GVSU Student

Experience

"I came into GVSU expecting to get a Bachelors degree in Accounting and sit at a desk for the rest of my life. Pursuing a job with Campus Recreation completely changed the path I've chosen to take. Nights working Intramural Sports, the friendships I've made, and the experiences have set the foundation for the rest of my life in Sports Management. I couldn't be more excited!"
