Winemaker Dinner at Balletto Vineyards - Thomas Schmidt of John Ash & Co.will prepare an unforgettable meal that has been thoughtfully paired with Balletto Vineyards varietals. Winemaker Anthony Beckman and Thomas sat down and tasted each course to ensure food items perfectly matched the chosen wine. Using locally sourced ingredients – vegetables, cheeses, meats, even coffee –the meal itself would be memorable. Add to that a dazzling selection of Balletto Vineyards wines and a beautiful setting in the cellar and the evening will be complete. John and Terri Balletto will be on hand to share the excitement and challenges of growing grapes in the Russian River Valley. Anthony Beckman will share his insights into creating balanced varietals – some delicate and nuanced, some bold.  Winemaker Dinner Menu

Wine Enthusiast's Wine Star Award 2019

We all dream of a perfect day. Taking time off, away from the routine of our daily lives. Doing exactly what we love to do.

Planning that day can be challenging if you are going to a new area or region. Even locals may not know all the cool places to eat, stay, shop, recreate, sightsee, and of course, taste wine. Now you can share your thoughts on your perfect day along the Wine Road, and help others learn more about it, too.

Earlier this year, a new blog was launched entitled, Find Your Perfect Day: Along the Wine Road, in Northern Sonoma County, CA. This blog is a collection of perfect days from people who love visiting or living in Northern Sonoma County. We want to hear from everyone! ...continue reading

Petite Sirah, The Varietal of the Month

While Petite Sirah might sound like a diminutive version of Syrah, it’s a distinct variety also known as Petite Syrah or Durif, named for the French botanist Dr. François Durif. Petite Sirah is not a hybrid but true Vitis Vinifera — its parents are Peloursin and Syrah.

We Made It Easy For You To BYOB Like A Boss! Also known as Corkage!

Next time you head out with friends for dinner, grab that bottle of wine you just brought back from your wonderful Sonoma wine-tasting trip! Or a bottle from one of those wine club boxes!

We’ve been bringing our own bottles of wine for over 25 years and have spent so much time looking for restaurants’ corkage fees that we came up with the brilliant idea to get much-needed info on corkage fees and bottle limits all in one place to make it easy for everyone. So now you can spend the time you saved…drinking! BYOB with confidence when you know where to go and what to expect when you arrive at a restaurant with your special bottle(s) of wine.

And when you’re traveling, imagine you’re in an awesome wine store in, say, Chicago and you would love to buy a special bottle of wine for dinner. There are over 5000 restaurants (more added daily) on BYOBLikeABOSS.com where you can find corkage policies for restaurants in your favorite cities nationwide.
