Monday, March 17 marks Iona University's annual day of giving, a 24-hour event for the entire Iona community to come together and make a gift of any size to the designation of their choice. This is our opportunity to show Gael pride and help ensure that future Gaels have the same opportunities that you did to receive a transformative education.

Paulo Silva '06, '08MBA, CPA

Paulo Silva '06, '08MBA, CPA has been appointed chief financial officer at Accion, a global nonprofit. This marks Silva’s first global C-Suite role, where he will leverage strategic financial leadership and cross-functional problem-solving to drive impactful change.

Adrienne Arkontaky, J.D. '88

“Iona provided me with a program and support necessary to attain my degree, go on to law school, and have an amazing career assisting families of loved ones with disabilities,” shares Adrienne Arkontaky, J.D. '88, founder of The Arkontaky Law Group P.C.

On February 4, more than 50 alumni and friends came together at the picturesque Club at Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs, FL. Against the backdrop of a stunning sunset, attendees enjoyed an update from President Carey, Ph.D. on all the exciting developments at Iona.

Iona University Alumni Board Updates

The recent call for nominations to the Alumni Board has resulted in the highest number of submissions we’ve seen in recent memory – a truly remarkable response! This overwhelming interest is a testament to the passion and commitment of our alumni community, and we are deeply grateful for your engagement. Thank you.

As we move forward in the process, the final slate of candidates will be reviewed and voted on by the current board members. We are confident this will allow for a thoughtful, in-depth, and rigorous selection process. Consistent with past practices, an independent nominating committee will put forth the final slate of nominees to the board. The nominating committee will continue, as it has in the past, to ensure the final slate reflects the wide variety of skillsets and strengths of our talented alumni community.
