This exhibition pushes the boundaries between culture, community, and visual art experiences. Featuring a unique group of artists who create vibrant contemporary pieces using traditional art elements while also blurring the lines between street art and contemporary works.
This exhibition is co-created with MUSE GR, curated by Stephen and Taylor Smith. The exhibition will be hosted concurrently at both locations.

Over 1,000 works of art were installed across GVSU campuses. Our team worked with campus partners to bring new artwork to a variety of spaces, curated specifically to reflect the unique programs, services, and resources provided by each department.

Exhibitions Highlights

Six exhibitions graced the walls (and floor) of the GVSU Art Gallery in the Haas Center for Performing Arts, including student shows and a memorial exhibition honoring late GVSU faculty member Ann Keister.

New to the Collection

Nearly 200 objects were purchased, donated, or acquired through university partnerships for the art collection this year. Many of them are now on public view.

Workshops & Events

2022 was a busy year for art gallery programming. We hosted over 400 guests at workshops, virtual artist talks, and celebratory events.

10th Annual Art Gallery Music Composition Competition in the Louis Armstrong Theatre, Haas Center for Performing Arts
