The Vikings narrowly beat the Green Bay Packers 27-25 yesterday. Those of us who checked the score toward the beginning of the fourth quarter were feeling mighty comfortable, what with the Packers trailing the Vikes by 17 points heading into the home stretch.
A late-game rally by Green Bay made for a tense final quarter. Still, Sam Darnold and the gang pulled it off and head into the final game of the regular season 14-2 with a nine-game winning streak.
Will the Vikings have the best record in the conference after the Detroit Lions face off against the San Francisco 49ers tonight? Will they beat the Lions in Detroit for the division title next week? Only time will tell.

Minnesotans remember Jimmy Carter and his legacy
Former President Jimmy Carter died Sunday at the age of 100.
A peanut farmer from Georgia, Carter represented much to many a Minnesotan. Not only did he choose one of our own, Walter Mondale, as his running mate and eventual vice president, but the North Star State was one of four that backed his bid for re-election.
As word spread of his passing, several politicos and other public figures weighed in. We also republished a 2019 interview with Mondale in which the former vice president reminisced about the Carter administration. You can find those stories at the links below.
