Dear Fine Arts Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Michael Baker has been reappointed as chair of the Department of Arts and Entertainment Technologies.
Michael Baker joined the department shortly after its creation and quickly rose to leadership, introducing stability and new direction to an emerging, innovative and growing program. He has been a good steward of the department and worked tirelessly to provide development support for the faculty, many of whom were moving into a research university teaching position for the first time. He has expanded integrated media creative programming and events and formed new research connections throughout the university. He continues to focus on creating clearer curricular pathways for his students. I look forward to another four-year term of his leadership as department chair and trust that they will be equally productive.
