Greetings artists and creative economy workers of Portland.
We wanted to make sure you knew about several important public funding opportunities that have application deadlines in the weeks ahead.
May 6 is the deadline to apply for a grant from the Oregon Cultural Trust to support projects taking place between September 1, 2022 – August 31, 2023. Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, cultural entities within federally recognized Tribes, and cultural programs within colleges and universities are eligible to apply. May 6 is the deadline to register and May 9 is the deadline to apply for Vibrant Spaces Community Events Activation Funds from the City of Portland. This program provides financial support for individuals, community groups and organizations that are building community event experiences and art activations in the City of Portland between June 15 and November 1, 2022. May 16 is the deadline to apply for the State of Oregon’s Live Event Venue Operations and Live Event Producers/Presenters Program, which is expected to bring $35 million in relief funding to live event venue operators and live event producers/presenters negatively impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency. May 25 is the deadline for Artists in Under-represented Communities to apply for Urgency/Stability Support. This program, managed by the Regional Arts & Culture Council and funded by the American Rescue Plan: Investing in Portland, supports individual artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander and People of Color; LGBTQIA+ artists; and artists with disabilities.
