For me the holiday season is a time of great anticipation, but it also brings up memories of the difficult times I’ve experienced in the midst of the holiday joy. There can be a lot of pressure to be happy and full of excitement during the holidays, but what about the years that maybe we had to show up and put on a happy face in the midst of loss and sadness?

Divorce, custody disputes, singleness, depression, missing a spouse, loss of a friendship, family disagreements, loneliness, spiritual drought, church hurt, and financial struggles are just a sampling of the things we sometimes have to face during what is supposed to be a happy time.

We see this up close and personal at Answers on a daily basis. There are so many people who are just trying to keep their heads above water. It is such an honor that God has transformed Answers to be a place people can find solace and support during difficult times. 

We get to share the above message of hope to so many! This message is more often than not, readily accepted, because people have become so weary of the world letting them down. People are hungry for truth and relationship. Within us all is a God-sized void. Being able to help someone connect to the fact that a relationship with Jesus is the thing they’ve been missing is the greatest joy we could ever experience this side of heaven!

Look at how God provided Answers with a tangible way to bless those who are in need…we are now the proud owners of a Blessing Box! This was a gift from the Florida Department of Health in Bradford County to whom we are so grateful. We also want to thank Frank Bondurant for installing our Blessing Box and for partnering with DOH to build at least 10 more boxes to be displayed around the community.

Our Blessing Box holds all kinds goodies that anyone can drop by and pick up at any given time. Toiletry items, non-perishable foods, books, and diapers are just a few examples of some of the items you’ll find in our Blessing Box. Anyone can donate items for our Blessing Box, just drop by any Tuesday through Thursday 9:30-3:30 or purchase through our Amazon Wishlist link.    

We pray you enjoy this wonderful season upon us, yet remember it’s okay if you’re feeling weary. Jesus offers us the beautiful gift of rest if we’ll just come to Him. Thank you for continuing to support us in this beautiful work, we wouldn’t want to do it without you.
