The Monson Essay Prize is a monetary award given to an undergraduate who submits an outstanding paper (6-25 pages) on a subject having to do with social change. The submission deadline is March 1 and the awardee will be recognized at the annual OUR Awards Ceremony on April 1. Click here for more information.

Undergraduate Research Mentor Awards - Call for Nominations
Recognizing faculty who mentor undergraduate researchers is a vital part of fostering a positive research culture. Each college has been invited to submit their outstanding undergraduate researchers and faculty mentors by March 1. To learn more visit the OUR Awards Ceremony webpage or connect with Dr. Annie Isabel Fukushima with questions. Make sure to mark your calendars for the Annual OUR Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 1 from 10:30am-12:00pm.

Kahlert Research Workshop – Looking for Faculty Mentors
The Kahlert Research Workshop is on January 23 at 2:30 PM in KV 1120 where they hope help students learn about research and discover how they can get involved. The Kahlert Scholars Program is looking for faculty to speak on a panel about their current research questions and process, and meet and greet with students interested in research. Enhancing Research Mentoring Symposium - Call for Mentoring Showcase Presenters
The Enhancing Research Mentoring Symposium is taking place on March 12 from 9:00am-3:30pm at the Alumni House. The symposium will include a Research Mentoring Showcase from 11:30am-1:00pm which will be similar to a poster session with an option for research mentors to present using a poster or at a table. Proposals are welcome from all members of the campus community (staff, faculty, and students). Submit your 250-word proposal that summarizes the presentation and what the campus community and the presenters will gain from the experience by Friday, January 26, 2024
