New video! PCEF Donor Impact Report

Real Work. Real Results. Real Impact.

"I can credit so much of my getting into University of Waterloo to PCCAPS!"
- Iva Chho
Iva Chho spent two of her Park City High School years as a student in the Park City Center for Advanced Professional Studies (PCCAPS) – an experience she says helped her get accepted into one of the most elite computer science schools in North America (acceptance rate: 4.3%).
"When I interview for internships, people always talk about how much actual experience I already have, and how rare that is," says Iva. "That is ALL thanks to PC CAPS!"

PCCAPS' First International Project!

The positive impact of PCCAPS on our students cannot be denied - but many others also benefit.
This year PCCAPS has its first international project, inspired by the book The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind*. Architecture, Engineering, and Business Solutions students are working to complete three projects in Malawi:
  • Designing a Community Hub
  • Researching & designing an Innovation Center
  • Strategizing ideas for a free community library

To learn more, make a project request, or become a mentor, go to parkcitycaps.com. Projects are especially needed for the Health Sciences strand.
*The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, by William Kamkwamba, was PCEF's One Book, One Community selection in 2019.

Watch Our New Video:

"Essential"

When the pandemic hit, the definition of essential expanded practically overnight, and the critically essential nature of our schools was laid bare.
PCEF's mission sparked an all-out sprint to relieve the burden.

The video "Essential," above, demonstrates the lifeline that PCEF donors kept intact as COVID-19 wreaked havoc for many in our community.

🍎❤️ Educator Gratitude ❤️🍎

As a small gesture of PCEF's gratitude, the Lucky Ones Coffee Camper visited each school* before Thanksgiving break.

We were delighted to see so many happy eyes as our educators enjoyed warm beverages and snacks. Take a look!

*Jeremy Ranch's visit was sidelined due to frozen pipes; stay tuned for the makeup date!
