Tip from Dr. Winston Roberts, Assistant Vice President & Dean of Student Engagement:
|
Hey all! Hope you are doing well. It’s your friendly neighborhood Asst. VP for Student Services and Dean of Student Engagement Winston Roberts. I wanted to share a couple tips on getting engaged as a newly minted Seton Hall Pirate.
|
-
When it comes to meeting new people, friendly and open body language is usually reciprocated, there is nothing wrong with saying “Hi” first or responding with a friendly “Hello.”
- When it comes to events on campus, “try it before you knock it,” can work wonders. You will never know what new experiences and great opportunities you missed out on, if you don’t see all that your campus has to offer.
-
For my upperclassmen, take this time to also stay Engaged with your campus. If you have not yet joined that club or organization you were interested in, there is no day like today! If you are already involved and engaged on our campus, find other students in need of that connection and be their lifeline to getting engaged as well!
|
I wish you all the best, and when you see me on campus, Say Hi! Go Pirates!
– Dean Roberts
