Black History Month
Since the 1970s, people all across the country commemorate the countless contributions and achievements of Black Americans during the month of February. We take this time to reflect on the historical strides made by those who came before, while also honoring those who are currently advocating for a brighter tomorrow for future generations. Thanks to historian and author, Carter G. Woodson, and the civil rights movement, we all have the tremendous opportunity to reflect on the various ways we can better support Black communities.
Partners in Diversity looks forward to hosting Black Achievement and Anti-Blackness: an Intersectional Understanding of Oregon in honor of Black History Month and we encourage you to visit our Community Engagement page for additional events.
